Grappling, striking and kettlebell fitness for adults, teens and kids in downtown Penticton. Your first week is free. Beginners start on day one.
Most people come in for one and stay for all three. Striking and grappling sharpen each other, and the kettlebell work keeps you in the fight for the last round.

No experience and no fitness test needed. Here's how a one-hour class runs, so nothing about your first night is a surprise.
Come 10 to 15 minutes early. We'll get your waiver done, show you around, and set you up with a trial gi or gloves.
Movement drills, light cardio and the basic positions you'll use later. Go at your own pace.
Coach Duane shows one or two techniques step by step. You'll repeat them slowly with a partner until they click.
Grappling: positional drills against light resistance. Striking: pad rounds and combinations in timed rounds.
Light rolling or a conditioning round, then a stretch. Ask questions after class; that's what it's for.
Seven days of unlimited classes in every program. Pick a class on the schedule and come try it.

No. Grappling gets you in shape; you don't need to arrive that way. Beginners work at their own pace, and nobody is expected to keep up on day one.
Takedowns, controlling positions on the ground, escapes and submissions. You learn to control a resisting partner using leverage and technique instead of strikes.
A gi is the heavy cotton jacket and pants worn for grappling. You don't need your own to start. We have trial gis you can use during your first classes.
Grappling is built around control, not strikes. When a hold gets uncomfortable you tap, and your partner lets go right away. Beginners start with drills and controlled rounds, not all-out rolling.
Yes. Grappling relies on leverage and technique over size, which is why it's one of the best martial arts for smaller people.
Little Rebels, Young Rebels and Rebel Teens learn the same fundamentals as adults, taught at their level. They build confidence, focus and fitness, and learn how to stay calm under pressure.
Our striking is based on Muay Thai: punches, kicks, knees, elbows and the clinch. It's one of the most complete stand-up systems in combat sports.
No. Your first classes are technique, pad work and partner drills. Contact is always controlled, and you work with a partner at an agreed pace.
Nothing to start, since we have gloves you can borrow. Once you're training regularly, most people buy their own gloves, hand wraps, shin guards and a mouthguard. Ask us before you buy and we'll point you to the right sizes.
Most of our members started with zero experience. Every class teaches the technique from the ground up, and you'll be paired with someone who knows the ropes.
Yes. Pad rounds on a 3-minute clock are some of the hardest conditioning you'll do. Plenty of members train striking purely to get fit.
Yes. Rebel Teens Striking runs Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00pm.
Two programs help Penticton families pay for youth sport. Both cover kids' memberships at Rebellion. Here's how to apply.
You can apply to one or both programs. Grants are paid directly to the gym and credited to your child's membership.
Choose your child's membership from the pricing page. Try the free week first if you're not sure.
Email us and we'll send a registration invoice with the program name, dates and cost. Both grants ask for this.
Submit your application with KidSport or Jumpstart, attaching our invoice and any proof they ask for.
Once approved, the grant is paid to Rebellion and applied to your account. Jumpstart payments take 6 to 8 weeks.
Funding amounts and rules are set by each program and can change. Check their sites for the latest details before you apply.
